Ryan McGinley is an American photographer recognized for his creative shots of celebrities, however his career began a bit more artistically. Beginning in 1998, he quickly became a prolific young artist and by age 25, Ryan accomplished no easy feat by becoming one of few young artists to have a solo show at the Whitney Museum of American Art. His editorial work has notably garnered much acclaim. He has photographed the 2004 Olympic swimmers and 2010 Winter Olympics. Along with editorials, you can find his photography featured in the public collections of the Guggenheim Museum, the San Francisco MOMA and the Whitney Museum of American Art.
