What is Paradise Xpressions, LLC?

PX: PX is a cultural movement dedicated, primarily, to the love and unity of the Caribbean, its culture and people. We’re all about promoting our mantra “One Love. One Caribbean.” We really believe this and aim to live by it.

WBM: How did you get involved in the mobile phone accessory industry?

PX: We were shooting the breeze one day at a family party and thought about mobile phones and the universal appeal of love for one’s heritage. We wanted to use our unique talents and thought this would be a cool way to do so.

WBM: When did you know this was something you wanted to pursue?

PX: After we spoke to trusted friends in our inner circle and the idea seemed to be a hit we decided to pursue it.

WBM: What does it mean to be an entrepreneur in 2012?

PX: It means you have to be patient, passionate and hard-working in order to succeed in these tough times.

WBM: What are some of the things that inspire you?

PX: Really, anything can be inspirational but lately we’ve been inspired by street art, musicians like MF Doom, Flying Lotus and even the transformative properties of light and shadow.

WBM: Why does what you do matter?

It matters because we’re doing what we enjoy and by doing so we can be a positive example to anyone who has a dream and wants to go after it.

WBM: You recently launched your brand, mind telling us a little about it?

PX: Paradise Xpressions encompasses three things, Unity, culture and Style, Thru “One Love. One Caribbean.” we promote love for our culture and style but more importantly unity. PX provides not only cool swag but exudes positive energy and good vibes.

Your product offerings celebrate many of the nations found in the Caribbean. How did growing up on St. Croix influence your product offerings?

PX: Being from a Caribbean island you are always surrounded by natural beauty and the simplicity of life. We find that our designs reflect this and are both visually striking without being unnecessarily complex. In the end it’s all about balance.

Define success?

PX: Being able to use your God-given talents not just to make a positive impact in your own life, but to build up others around you.

WBM: Biggest Accomplishment?

PX: Our biggest accomplishment was being able to get through the arduous process of not just putting together a legitimate business but having a product line that people were genuinely excited about. It was a very rewarding feeling for us.

What’s one thing that many don’t know about you?

PX: We have a deep love for St. Croix and the VI as a whole and we hope to play a positive role in its future.

WBM: What’s next?

PX: We have a PX-Mas sale from Dec. 10-20th offering 40% off all cases. We also plan to expand our product line to include designs for more Caribbean islands, adding more cases for new phone models, tablet computers and eventually allowing customers to have completely customized designs.

WBM: Any advice for those looking to pursue their goals and dreams?

PX: It’s all about planning. Once you have a solid strategy and you’re willing to put in all the behind-the-scenes work. You can do it. Just go out and get it done.
