With all the events and festivities that take place during NYFW, there’s one event in particular that good folks over at WBM look forward to every season. This season is no exception. We cannot get enough of what they’re doing. Taking what pleasantly appeared to the next level, Nolcha Fashion Week: New York was even more phenomenal than its previous showcase back in February.
In fact, the energy and anticipation that evening of Wednesday, September 11th 2013 brought, had our inner fashion bug going crazy, especially because fashion designer, Danillo Gabrielli was the focus of the 9:30pm show. Amongst bloggers, celebrities, press, and fashion afficionados in a packed Pier 59 Studio, the stage was set, the lights were shining bright and the designs, well..they were simply exquisite.
Seamlessly fusing modern sensibilities with a classic touch, Danillo Gabrielli wowed the audience with timeless pieces that flawlessly came strutting down the catwalk. Such was especially true when Gabrielli granted the 10,000th wish for Make-A-Wish Metro New York, for a 13-year-old girl with leukemia, named Katherine. Her wish was to be a fashion designer, and after having the opportunity to work alongside each other leading up to Fashion Week, Gabrielli sent two dresses designed by Katherine down the runway and made Katherine’s wish come true.
Let the pictures of the evening speak, see what we saw with our eyes and be whisked away. We promise the work of Danilo Gabrielli will leave you in awe and wanting to attend the next Nolcha Fashion Week.
Magic has found a new home, and it lives in fashion.
