Tina is a wife, mother, daughter, sister, nurse and a doctor. She is an avid reader, passionate debater, proud free thinker, dedicated truth seeker and an ardent believer in evidence based living. Growing up in sub Saharan Africa, raised up by parents who were both journalists she learned at an early age the value of using one’s voice. Having experienced life in a post colonial system, she understands the perils of having a people’s story being told by other cultures or groups. She is fiercely protective of the right to tell one’s own story prompting her to create the “Own Your Narrative” movement.
A committed mentor, she created CNAtoMD a mentoring program dedicated to mentoring minority and underprivileged youths interested in careers in healthcare. She describes herself as a “God fearing, science loving, faith touting, status quo challenging revolutionary!”.
